There we were at the ancient ruin of Ephesus when this plane caught my attention. At first, for obvious reasons, we thought this plane was crashing.  Gasp!  But it didn’t.  It disappeared behind the hillside and then came back up again.  And went back down and back up.  Again and again. It turns out that it was an aerobatic plane that was practicing some sort of death-defying maneuvers more or less on top of a famous ruin. I was very glad that it didn’t crash, as that would have very traumatic for me, but kind of irked that the pilot thought it would be fun to scare the crap out of all of the tourists.
